Switzerland will be joining the
Schengen States from 1.11.2008. Current valid Swiss visa will only
allow entry into Switzerland even after we join the Schengen States! |

Tourist
|
- Passport - Should be valid for at
least 6 months from intended return date (Please give current and
all previous passports also)
- Financial Documents - Last two
years - original Income Tax Returns, 3 - 6 months bank statement,
Balance Sheet, Salary Certificate etc.
- Return Confirmed Tickets
- Three Passport Size Recent
Coloured Photographs with white background. Photograph should be
matt finish. It should be a close of the face (i.e. 75% of the
photographs should be of the face)
- Hotel Confirmation - Paid hotel
confirmation / fax from hotel.
- Tour Itinerary
- Covering letter requesting for
Visa.
- For Students - A copy of the
School Identity Card / School Diary should be attached.
- The above list of documents is
a suggestive list. On a case to case basis additional documents
might be required.

- Invitation, with inviting party
mentioning that they are making arrangements of stay. If this is
not mentioned separate hotel confirmation will be required.
- Covering letter requesting for
Visa on Official Letter head.
- Visiting Card.
- For Passengers applying for first
time, it is also recommended to attach copy of correspondence with
your Swiss Counterpart
- The above list of documents is
a suggestive list. On a case to case basis additional documents
might be required.

Process |
- Three Working Days required for
visa processing.
- However Consular Section can
refer the case, and in that case it the process could take
anywhere between 7 to 10 working days.
- Consulate does not entertain
urgent request's.
