- Singapore Botanical Gardens
Close to the city, the Botanic Gardens combine both primary jungle
and manicured gardens in a 52-hectare spread. Housing an
abundance of flora, including many rare specimens, it is also a
popular venue for outdoor concerts. Open from 0500 to midnight
daily.

- Chinese Gardens
Built in the style of the Imperial Sung Dynasty and mirroring the
grandeur of the Beijing Summer Palace, the aesthetic Chinese
Garden features majestic bridges, pagodas, a stoneboat, a
teahouse, and a Suzhou-style Bonsai Gardens.

- Raffles Hotel
Opened in 1887 and gazetted as a National Monument in 1987, this
grand Old Lady of the East is one of the world's last great 19th
Century hotels. The hotel is a favourite retreat for writers and
movie stars.

- Merlion Park & City
Skyline
Located across from Fullerton Square, the Merlion (half lion, half
fish), is a national icon.

- Jurong bird Park
Located in the western part of Singapore, Jurong Bird Park is home
to more than 8.000 birds from over 600 species. Not to be missed
attractions in the park include the Waterfall Aviary with the
worlds highest man made waterfall towering 30 metres.

- Underwater World
Underwater World Singapore is one of Asia's most popular
oceanariums. It has an 83 metre long acrylic tunnel, home to some
2,500 marine creatures from 250 species.

The largest fountain in the world! The Fountain of Wealth is 85
tonnes of cast bronze over 46 feet high.

- Wildlife & Gardens
Singapore Zoo, Jurong Bird Park, Mandai Orchid Garden. The scenic
"open zoo" features many interesting animal exhibits in what is
acclaimed as "one of the most beautiful zoos in the world". Amond
the many highlights of the zoo are the world's largest group of
Orang Utans from Borneo and Sumatra and the Fragile Forest - an
exciting and educational display of ecosystems and rainforest
culture.

- Chinatown
It is the original site where Chinese immigrants lived, worked and
played. Chinatown is where you can visit a wet market and see
house-wives haggling for the best fresh produce available or
experience a Chinese tea appreciation session with an opera
performance.

- Bukit Timah Nature Reserve
This nature reserve is one of two in the world to be located
within city boundaries, the other being Rio de Janeiro. This
reserve contains more species of plants than the entire North
American continent. The highest peak in Singapore, Bukit Timah
Hill (164 metres), is also within the reserve as well.

- Night Safari
The worlds first night zoo. Experience night wildlife on a 45
minute tram ride or take one of the three walking trails, to
geographical zones. In the cool of the night, catch the twice
nightly "creatures of the night" show or rake a stroll through the
Mangrove walk, a free ranging bat enclosure along the Leopard
Trail. Opens at 1930 pm till midnight daily.
