It has a great diversity of tourist attractions, religious domains and the
nature at its bountiful and beautiful best. it produces maximum varieties
of fruits and vegetables. Of Mythological relevance , Lord Rama spent his
years of exile in the forests of this land. Few of the attractions in and
around Nasik are Ramkund, Muktidham Temple, Coin Museum - housing a fine
collection of researched and well documented history of Indian Currency,
Kalaram Temple, Pandavleni caves atop the Trivashmi Hill, Trimbakeshwar,
Dudhsagar Waterfalls, Ajneri.

Cantonment with an Artillery Training School.
- Trimbakeshwar - 29 Kms. One of
the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. It is an important pilgrim centre for
the Hindus.
- Igatpuri : 45 Kms. It is a
small town with pleasant climate and situated at an altitude of 1900 ft.
It is an ideal getaway in the monsoons for its greenery and numerous
waterfalls. Igatpuri is also famous for the Vipassana International
Academy, which conducts courses in meditation. Tringalwadi Fort & Lake -
6 Kms from here attracts a large number of trekkers during the monsoons.

Dedicated to Goddess Chandika or the "Sapta Shringi Devi".
- Nandur Madhmeshwar : 60 Kms.
Situated in the Nipad Taluka of Nashik District, this sanctuary is best
visited between October and March when migratory birds come here for
breeding. It is an important wetland with a necklace of 23 lakes and
tiny ponds. Amongst the birds seen here are the osprey, flamingoes and
animals such as otter and fishing cat.
- Bhandardara (Wilson Dam) : 69
Kms. Bhandardara is a beautiful holiday spot. Places of interest include
the Umbrella falls, Wilson Dam, Lake Arthur where boating facilities are
available, the Randha Falls, Amriteshwar Temple, Ratangarh Fort and
Mount Kalsubhai - 25 Kms, the highest peak in the Sahyadri Range. The
nearest railhead is Igatpuri - 45 Kms on the Central Railway.
